Back in 2013 I watched a documentary about food that changed my life, Hungry for Change.  It answered a lot of questions I had regarding what we should truly be eating for optimum health.  As a result, I totally did a 360′ on my diet and the almost instant changes were nothing short of a miracle!  I have been enjoying a whole food, plant-based diet now for just over four years, as my journey began on January 20, 2013.  The extra weight literally melted away, I have natural energy lasting all day long and I eat far more than I used to but feel better than ever and don’t gain weight!  I want to help others transition to a whole food plant-based way of eating so they can feel awesome as well.  In addition, this way of eating has been shown to reduce and/or eliminate many lifestyle diseases including  but not limited to obesity, Type II Diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and cancer.  My dentist changed her diet using my advice and when I saw her 6 months later at my next appointment, she gave me a hug and thanked me, told me she had lost weight and her symptoms from fibromyalgia had been greatly reduced.  Her friends were asking her what she was doing and she told them about me.  In that moment I knew I wanted to help others, as today’s doctors just seem to maintain disease with medication and have no intent to cure.  So here we are, left to cure ourselves through diet!!  I would love to coach you along before, during and after  your transition.

So….I have created this new site to share information on how to lose weight, feel great, plate by plate.   Over the past several years I have learned you truly “are what you eat”.  I now live that on a daily basis and can honestly say I love my food and my food loves me!   Stayed tuned as I create this site.  In the meantime, I host a private Facebook page, for a one time fee of $30.00 you will be added to the page Going Green with Christine Support Group.  There you will find a step by step guide on how to transition to a whole food, plant-based diet, a sample week of recipes including breakfast lunch and dinner and even a complete shopping list for the first two days of recipes.  Also included are tips and tricks including pantry and fridge/freezer reset, shopping on a budget, sprouting and more.   Timely articles included such as Weighing in on the Coconut Oil Controversy (good or bad?).   The private page also serves as a support group to help you along the way during your transition and will assist on issues such as how to remain plant strong when dining out, attending outings and family functions, vacations and road trips and when you may be the only one in the family making the change, and what about the kids!  The group is interactive and you are free to ask as many questions as you want, no limitations on your access or ability to participate.  Hope to see you there!!
